Funding
By Kemi Ajayi
Lagos, April 20, 2018 (NAN) Prof. Adam Yayaya-Ukwenya, the President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation (NCF), on Friday said that the body would continue to look inward in order to fund its programmes.
Ukwenya told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that by so doing the NCF would be able to partner with corporate organizations and depend less on the government for funding.

“The Sports Ministry has to deal with 50 to 100 sports, and government has priority but our strategy has always been at least for this board to look beyond government.
“Even if the government has the resources, the way the government work is such that you can’t easily get the money the way you want it and at the time you want it.
“So, what we are trying to do is go beyond government to fund our federation.’’
