Lagos. Jan. 27, 2017 (NAN) Prof. Oluremi Sonaiya, the 2015 Presidential candidate of KOWA Party, has attributed the increase in the party’s membership to the current economic and political realities in the country.

Sonaiya made this known in an interview with the News agency of Nigeria (NAN) during her visit to the Lagos office of the agency on Friday.

“Since 2015 elections, I`m happy to say, our party has been growing, especially in the last few months with the current realities, both political and economic.

“People are disappointed, to say the least.

“The kind of change they were expecting has not yet been delivered.

“So, there is a growing interest in seeking alternatives, and KOWA party, definitely, has been benefiting from that.

“We have been reaching out to more people.

“We now have a growing number of members – people, who are ready to come together and discuss the kind of contribution KOWA party could make.“

Sonaiya decried the lack of equal coverage of new political parties by the media.

She urged the media to see themselves as partners in progress by working with “minority parties’’ in the quest for good governance. (NAN)
