“We have gone everywhere in the country and met with the Heads of Service of all the states and wrote to the commissioners of budget and planning and to the governments asking them for the opportunity to assess the capacity of their staff.

“We managed to do a lot of analyses in terms of skills gaps, skill shortages, skills mismatch,  and skills leading and so it is on the bases of all these investigations that CMD provided the 2017 brochure.

“It is on our website.’’

He said that though the centre was not there yet in terms of getting instruments to ensure excellence in quality service delivery, it plans to collaborate with some agencies to achieve this.

According to him, the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation is working to strengthen the performance management system in the civil service.

“We don’t have manpower development plans but we can do it if we have the funding, it can be done through collaboration with other agencies or donor agencies,’’ he said. (NAN)
