Daura (Katsina), Feb. 27, 2017 (NAN) The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria has described the death of Hajiya Aminatu Mai Babbandaki, mother of the Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Adulmumini Kabir, as irreplaceable loss.
The National President of the association, Alhaji Kiruwa Zuru, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Daura, Katsina State, on Monday.
He said the association was in mourning mood since the death of the emir’s mother was announced on Saturday.
Zuru described the deceased as a very good mother, who nurtured many children, including the emir and prayed for the repose of her gentle soul.
He said the emir was a rallying point to the association, noting that he was ready for “our members whenever we needed his attention”.
He conveyed the association’s condolences to the emir, the Katsina State Government and the nation at large over the death of Aminatu.
“We will never forget the role of the emir in addressing squarely the menace of cattle rustling and clashes between our people and farmers, which has now become history,” Zuru said.
According to him, the death of the emir’s mother has created a vacuum which will never be filled.
NAN reports that Aminatu died on Saturday and had been buried according to the Islamic rite. (NAN)
