Ilorin, March 15, 2018 (NAN) Kwara House of Assembly on Thursday urged Gov. Abdulfatah Ahmed to set machinery in motion for urgent implementation of the bills which he recently signed into law.

The House made the plea in its resolution at the plenary after considering a motion moved by Kamaldeen Fagbemi (APC, Oke-Ogun).

Fagbemi, while leading a debate on the motion, said that implementation of the laws would further enhance the wellbeing of the people of the state.

Some of the laws, according to Fagbemi, are: Law Reform, Local Content Development, Security Trust Fund, Inland Revenue Board, State Health Insurance Agency and People with Disability Law.

The House Deputy Speaker, Matthew Okedare, who presided over the plenary, explained that urgent implementation of the laws became imperative.

Okedare noted that if the laws were implemented by the governor, it would make people of the state and the state government to enjoy the platform for good governance.

Other members, who spoke on the motion, said that implementation of the laws was long overdue. (NAN)
