Ibadan, Aug. 1, 2017 (NAN) The All Progressives Congress (APC) in  Oyo State on Tuesday commended Gov. Abiola Ajimobi and other stakeholders for their contributions to the successful conduct of its midterm congress on Saturday.

A statement issued  by the party’s Public Relations Officer, Olawale Sadare,  said the exercise was hitch-free in the 33 local government councils.

“The process and outcome of the non-elective congress on Saturday is another eloquent testimony to the commitment of the APC to the full entrenchment of the  right values.

“This is through the promotion of internal democracy and encouragement of  citizen participation in the nation’s democratic space to drive good governance and sustain the change mantra,’’ the statement  said.

“The APC has, by this feat, established that only a party with widespread presence in the state is good enough to continue in office,’’ it added.

The statement also commended  the National Headquarters of APC for reposing confidence  in the capability of the Chief Akin Oke-led State Executive Committee.

It further  said that the success recorded in the exercise would not have been possible without the cooperation, commitment and understanding demonstrated by all  stakeholders. (NAN)
