Allleged theft of vehicles with master key : Accused, 25, remanded in prison

Ile-Ife (Osun), March 13, 2018 (NAN) A 25-year-old, Bashiru Muraina, who allegedly attempted to steal some vehicles with a master key, is to remain behind bars for at least 17 days, an Ile-Ife Magistrates’ Court in Osun has ruled.
Muraina is standing trial over a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The accused, however, pleaded not guilty.
But Magistrate Ishola Omisade refused him bail and directed that he should be kept in custody until next adjournment.
Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Insp Christian Olajide, told the court that the accused committed the offences on Feb. 16 at 5.30 p.m. at Okerewe area of ancient city of Ile-Ife.
Olajide said that the accused conspired with others now at large to commit the offences.
The accused attempted to steal vehicles parked at Okerewe area of the city with a master key.
The offences contravened Sections 509 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
March 29 has been fixed for the hearing of the case. (NAN)
