Abuja, July 11, 2017 (NAN) The National Industrial Court, Abuja, will on Oct. 9 deliver judgment in a case of alleged unpaid salary and terminal benefits filed by one Tanko Dauda against Kotco Energy Limited, Abuja.

Justice Edith Agbakoba, fixed the date on Tuesday, after counsel to the parties adopted their final written addresses.

Dauda, an operation manager at Kotco Energy Limited, Abuja, had sued his former employer over alleged unpaid salary and terminal benefits.

The claimant said that he voluntarily resigned from the company on Sept.1, 2014, after 10 years of service to the company.

He prayed the court to prevail on the respondent to pay him his salaries and arrears that were wrongly deducted while he was in the service of the company.

The claimant also prayed the court to order the respondent to pay him his pension arrears and other benefits which he claimed were not remitted to the National Pension Commission.

Adopting his address, the respondent counsel, Mr C. Agidi, urged the court to dismiss the claimant’s case.

Claimant’s counsel, Mr Sa’eed Lawal, in his response, urged the court to grant the claims of his client and dismiss the submission of the respondent, saying “it holds no water my Lord.”

Justice Agbakoba adjourned the case until Oct. 9 for judgment. (NAN)
