Airforce chief commends Katsina Govt on security

Daura (Katsina), July 26, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commended Katsina State Government for allocating land for the establishment of its operational bases in Katsina and Daura.

Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, the Chief of Air Staff, made the commendation at the inauguration of the NAF Quick Response Wing in Daura on Wednesday.

He said the administration of Gov. Aminu Masari was resilient, committed and dedicated in complementing the efforts of security agencies especially the Air force.

Abubakar therefore commended the zeal and commitment of the government to ensuring adequate security in the state.

He reiterated the continued support of the Air force to the security, peace and unity of the country, adding, “we will not relent or compromise the unity of this nation”.

Abubakar attributed the successes recorded by the service in the fight against insurgency and other related crimes to the unconditional regular support of President Muhammadu Buhari.

NAN reports that the new quick response wing is to provide support services in the area of surveillance and security in the area.

NAN recalls that the Army had also established a unit in Koza, a boarder community in Mai’adua Local Government Area of the state. (NAN)
