Election

Abuja, May 18, 2017 (NAN) The Track and Field Coaches Association of Nigeria (TAFCAN) will elects its representative into the board of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) on Monday at the Abuja National Stadium.
Stephen Nuhu, the Secretary of the association, said in a statement in Abuja that they were ready to conduct a credible poll to elect a dependable representative.
He said the coaches were happy to be given a seat on the incoming AFN board.
“We are ready for the election, because we want to have a credible representative in the next AFN board. We want a transparent process, free of rancour or any misgivings,” the secretary said.
Nuhu said a memo had already been sent to notify all TAFCAN members of the development.
He said every state chapter of the association had been asked to send a coach to participate in the electoral process.(NAN)
