The Committee was also expected to come up with recommendations on how to tackle the problems.

He said “the meeting discussed issues surrounding the general economy of the state, particularly how to revamp the IGR and how it would significantly fund the 2017 budget.

“A Special Committee was set up and given 10 days to look at the issues and come up with recommendations that would ensure that the IGR of Adamawa increased to nearly N500 million monthly.”

The commissioner said that the meeting also finalised the 2017 budget which he said would be different from previous ones. (NAN)
