Yola, Jan. 12, 2017 (NAN) The Adamawa Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Alhaji Ahmad Sajoh, on Thursday said the State Government would constitute security councils in the local government areas.
Briefing journalists on Thursday in Yola, Sajoh said that the initiative would boost security of lives and property at the grassroots.
He said the state government would meet with the local government chairmen in the state to fine tune the process of establishing the security councils.
He also said that the government would constitute a high-powered administrative panel of inquiry to investigate the recent attack on some communities in Demsa Local Government Area of the state.
He said that the government would stop at nothing to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act were brought to book.
“The government strongly condemns the attack on the defenceless people and the killing of police officers in the area,’’ the commissioner said.
NAN recalls that suspected herdsmen recently attacked Kwane, Gidandadi and Karlahi communities in Demsa local government area of the state during which five policemen were killed and properties destroyed. (NAN)
