Lafia, March 6, 2017 (NAN) Alhaji Mohammed Dan’Azumi, the new Executive Chairman, Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), has pledged to reposition the primary education for effective service delivery in the state
Dan’Azumi made the pledged in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Lafia.
He said that the board would improve on the standard of primary education in the state.
The chairman expressed readiness of his team to cooperate with the state’s education stakeholders to create enabling environment for them to carry out their assignment effectively.
According to him, Gov. Tanko Al-makura’s APC led administration is committed to improving education sector in the state.
“Education is the bedrock for the development of any society.
“I thank Gov. Al-Makura for finding me worthy of the appointment and I promise to reposition the primary education for effective service delivery in the state, ’’ Dan’Azumi said.
He explained that the governor was determined to take education to the door steps of all and sundry in the state.
The chairman also remarked that it was through education that all professional skills could be acquired.
He called on the people of the state to continue to support Al-Maura’s administration.
NAN recalls that on Feb. 28, the Nasarawa State House of Assembly screened and confirmed the appointments of the chairman and other members of the state’s SUBEB. (NAN)
