Adamawa Judiciary denied sacking 2 Magistrates

Yola, Jan. 26, 2017 (NAN) The Adamawa Judiciary Service Commission (JSC) has denied sacking two magistrates.

The commission, in a statement by its Secretary Susana Elam, made this known in Yola on Thursday.

Elam said “It has come to the notice of the JSC that the judiciary sack two magistrates and demoted one Area Court Judge.

“Nothing like that has happened. The true position is that only three lower court judges were demoted,” Elam said.

Elam, had in a statement on Wednesday, said that commission at its 167th meeting held on Jan, 24, approved the appointment of 15 Magistrates grade II.

She also announced the demotion of an area court judge and the sack of two magistrates. (NAN)
