Danko/Wasagu (Kebbi) Jan. 26, 2017 (NAN) Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi says it has commenced training of 100 youths on skills acquisition.
Hajiya Tsahara Wasagu, the Sole Administrator of the council, said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Wasagu on Thursday.
She said the six-month training involved 50 males and 50 females, adding that the training was being conducted at the local government skills acquisition centre.
Wasagu also said the participants would be trained on Jelly making, leather works, weaving, knitting, tailoring and computer literacy skills.
The sole administrator said the council had registered 5,000 farmers for a training in Soya beans production.
She said the participants would be receive seed, capital and tools to enable them establish their businesses after the training.
Wasagu said hthe council would give priority to agriculture, education, health and security. (NAN)
