Adamawa Govt. to constitute LG security councils

Yola, Jan. 12, 2017 (NAN) The Adamawa Government is to constitute a local government’s security councils for efficient security of lives and property in various local government areas in the state.

Alhaji Ahmad Sajoh, Commissioner for Information and Strategy, disclosed this when he briefed newsmen after the state security council meeting in Yola on Thursday.

Sajoh said that the initiative would engender the grassroots security of lives and property.

He said the state government would meet with all local government chairmen in the state to fine tune the process of establishing the local government security councils.

Sajoh also said that the government would constitute a high powered administrative panel of inquiry to investigate the attack on some communities in Demsa Local Government Area of the state.

The commissioner said that the security council would stop at nothing to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly act were brought to book.

According to him, the security council has condemned the attack on the defenseless people and the killing of police officers in the area.

Some suspected herdsmen attacked Kwane, Gidandadi and Karlahi communities in Demsa Local Government Area of the state, killed five police men and destroyed the communities. (NAN)
