Sokoto State Assembly confirms appointment of SJSC’s permanent member

Sokoto, Jan. 5, 2017 (NAN) The Sokoto State House of Assembly on Thursday confirmed the appointment of Mr Jacob Ochidi, as a permanent member of the State Judicial Service Commission (SJSC).
The confirmation followed the recommendation of a report of the House Committee on Public Service Matters, presented by its Chairman, Alhaji Kabiru Ibrahim (APC-Kware).
In the report, Ibrahim said, ” the Committee observed that Ochidi is found to be a man of proven integrity, competence, honesty and loyalty with outstanding track record of service.
“Therefore, if given the chance to serve in the commission, will bring his vast experience to bear on the judiciary.
“The appointment is a good omen for the commission and the state at large.”
The Speaker, Alhaji Salihu Maidaji, said that the Assembly considered the report of the committee while the members unanimously accepted it. (NAN)
