Modakeke (Osun), Dec 29, 2016 (NAN) The Ogunsua of Modakeke in Osun, Oba Francis Adedoyin, has called on youths in the town to maintain peace as the town celebrates “Akoraye Day.’’
Adedoyin made the call to mark “Akoraye Day’’ in Modakeke in Ife North-East Local Government Area of Osun on Thursday.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akoraye Day features prayer for peace and harmony among the people.
The monarch said youths should ensure that there was no room for violence because people had known the community for peace.
“People have come from near and far for the celebration and the youths should ensure that they give peace a chance.
“The youths are the pillar of the nation and they have their names and future to be protected.’’
Adedoyin appealed to members of the community to live peacefully with one another and be God-fearing in all their endeavours. (NAN)
