3 unemployed men docked for burglary

Lagos, Dec. 29, 2016 (NAN) Three unemployed men on Thursday appeared before an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for alleged burglary, conspiracy and attempted stealing.

The accused are: Micheal Akonje, 23, Choice Oghenerabo, 25 and Osas Meshak, 26.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Donjor Perezi, told the court that the accused, who live inside Ojota Market, a suburb of Lagos, committed the offences at Modele Primary School, Ikeja.

He said the accused attempted to steal from some offices in the school when the security guards caught them.

Perezi said the offences contravened sections 305 and 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The three accused however pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs O. A Layinka granted the accused N100, 000 each with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till Feb. 14 for mention. (NAN)
