Stealing

Modakeke (Osun), Dec 28, 2016 (NAN) A 28-year-old, Adegoke Isiaka, who allegedly stole a motorcycle valued at N195, 000 from where it was parked, was ion Wednesday brought before a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court in Osun.
The accused is facing a charge of stealing.
According to the prosecutor, Sgt. Ona Glory, the accused committed the offence sometime in May 2015 at Ajape area of Modakeke in Ife North East.
Glory said the accused stole a motorcycle with registration no. SGM 413 QB, property of Asimiyu Sanusi.
The offence contravened Section 383 of the Criminal Law of Osun, 2003.
The accused, however, denied the charge and his lawyer, Mr Abiodun Akindipe, urged the court to grant him bail on liberal terms.
In her ruling, Magistrate Bose Awosan, granted the accused bail in the sum of N70, 000 with one surety in like sum.
In addition, she said the surety must swear to affidavit of means and reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
She adjourned the case to Jan. 1, 2017 for mention. (NAN)
