2 drivers docked for alleged breach of trust

Abuja, Aug. 15, 2018 (NAN) Two drivers, Sunday Adetunji and Ahmed Aminu, on Wednesday appeared in a Kado Grade 1 Area Court, Abuja, for alleged breach of trust.

Adetunji, 45, and Aminu, 27, employees of God Is Good Motors were arraigned on a two-count charge of criminal breach of trust and cheating.

The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The prosecutor, Judith Obatomi, had told the court that one Shallom Emeka of God Is Good Logistics Limited, Utako, Abuja, reported the matter at Utako Police Station on Aug. 11.

Obatomi said that the complainant claimed that on Aug. 8, the defendants loaded a vehicle with goods from Ikeja to be conveyed to Idu Industrial Area, Abuja.

She said that on Aug. 9, the defendants could not account for 68 cartons of the goods and two spare tyres of the articulated vehicle.

He said the offences contravened the provisions of Sections 312 and 322 of the Penal Code.

The judge, Alhaji Ahmed Ado, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N50,000 each, with one  surety each in like sum and adjourned the case until Sept.12 for further hearing. (NAN)
