Ilorin, Aug. 15, 2018 (NAN) A school proprietor, Mr Femi Olawale, on Wednesday in Ilorin, urged the Kwara Government to increase its investments in education.

Olawale, the proprietor of Impeccable Nursery and Primary School, Ilorin, gave this charge while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

The school proprietor described education as the bedrock of a nation, adding that the sector deserved more attention from all stakeholders.

He said that as a way forward to a greater nation, government at all levels should henceforth give education a priority attention.

According to him, the state government should put in place adequate infrastructure for students to enjoy their learning process.

Olawale said that government should provide infrastructure, including borehole, good furniture, well-furnished laboratories and classrooms in all schools.

“The ministry of education should also ensure that best and qualified teachers are employed to teach the students as all hands must be on deck to rescue education from collapse.

“We, in Kwara must emulate the western world by investing in the education sector; education should lead while others follow in government’s plan’’.

The school proprietor, however, called on private individuals and groups to support government’s efforts in repositioning the sector in the state. (NAN)
