Asaba, July 19, 2018 (NAN) The Delta Ministry of Culture and Tourism says it will replicate the giant strides recorded in the tourism sector in Cross River.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs Angalaere Prest-Umukoro, stated in a statement in Asaba on Thursday.
She said that she led officials of the ministry to Cross Rivers to study the success story and achievements recorded by that state in order to replicate such achievements in Delta.
Prest-Umukoro said that the visit was also aimed at collaborating with the Cross River Government in the area of tourism development.
She said the visit afforded the state access to Calabar City tourism policy framework, Private Public Partnership (PPP) template for tourism development and arrangement for future exchange programme between the two states.
The permanent secretary said that the visit also helped to strengthen the relationship between Delta and Cross River as well as open up new areas of collaboration.
Prest-Umukoro said that some of the tourist sites visited by her team include the Mary Slessor Monument, Maria Resort, Slave Museum and British Government House of 1884. (NAN)
