Sen. Adamu tasks management of FMC Keffi on service delivery

Keffi (Nasarawa State), July 10, 2018 (NAN) Sen. Abdullahi Adamu (APC-Nasarawa-West) has urged the new management of Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Keffi, Nasarawa State, to deliver effective, efficient and quality healthcare service to Nigerians.
This is contained in a statement signed by the centre’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Mr Jamil Nagogo, and made available to News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Keffi on Tuesday.
Adamu gave the task while receiving members of the Governing Board and management of the centre led by the board Chairman, Prince Sule Iko in Keffi.
He urged the staff of the centre to be good Nigerians by practising positive health policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the patients.
The legislator enjoined them to shun rumour mongers and carry everybody along while discharging their duties in the interest of peace and national development.
The statement also quoted Dr Yahaya Adamu, the centre’s new Medical Director, promising to discharge his duties without fear or favour.
“We will ensure quality healthcare service delivery to Nigerians because a healthy nation is a wealthy nation,’’ Adamu said.
He called for support and cooperation to enable the management team succeed in the task ahead of them for the overall development of the health sector.
Earlier, Iko said that the visit was to familiarise themselves with the senator.
He assured the senator of the board’s readiness to work in synergy with the centre’s management to ensure quality healthcare delivery to the people. (NAN)
