1.The Federal High Abuja on Monday admitted former National Security Adviser Sambo Dasuki to bail in the sum of N200m and two sureties in like sum.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu who granted the bail, also declared Dasuki’s continued detention illegal and a violation of his fundamental right to liberty.

2.The Federal Government in collaboration with several development partners says it will ensure nationwide access to reproductive health commodities and services.
Minister of Health Prof. Isaac Adewole said access to these commodities was a human right, central to gender equality and women empowerment, and a key factor in reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development goal.

3.The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi says funding is a major challenge of transport infrastructure in Africa.
Amaechi, at the Annual General Meeting of Sub-Sahara Africa Transport Policy Programme, hosted by Nigeria in Abuja, said the region needed to brainstorm on harnessing funds for sustainable and organised transportation mobility to enhance economic growth.

4.The Independent National Electoral Commission says it is employing stringent measures to protect Smart Card Readers and Permanent Voter Cards from unauthorized and malicious access, ahead of the 2019 general elections.
INEC Boss, Mahmood Yakubu said systematic hardware and software upgrade of all its Smart Card Readers for elections would begin nationwide, within the week.

5.President John Magufuli of Tanzania has reshuffled his cabinet and sworn in three new ministers in a shake-up that included the sacking of the home affairs minister, Mwigulu Nchemba.
The cabinet reshuffle saw appointment of new ministers in charge of water and infrastructure and the replacement of Home Affairs Minister by Kangi Lugola, who had been Deputy Environment Minister.

6.Vusi Zuma, one of former president Jacob Zuma’s 23 children, has passed away at the age of 25.
Details of Vusi’s passing are still unclear at the moment, although South Africa’s Milpark Hospital announced he died due to a short illness.
