Abuja, June 11, 2018 (NAN) A Christian gospel artiste, Mr Michael Aiyejogo, has called on political leaders to desist from using their power unjustly.
Aiyejogo said this while fielding questions from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Abuja.
According to him, the misuse of authority provides a platform for injustice, corruption and decadence in the society to thrive.
He also stressed the need for the people to respect and obey the rule of law without any prejudice adding that this would further encourage peaceful coexistence amongst the diverse people in the nation.
“Nigerians need to change their ways by respecting elders, the authority and people in authority should not misuse their power.
“When we do that, we will enjoy peace, harmony, truth, righteous and there will be holiness in the society, it will be heaven on earth. ”
He said his two albums, “Righteousness Exalts a Nation”, which comprised of nine tracks and “Divine Approval, which has eight tracks aim at projecting the message of Jesus Christ.
Aiyejogo further said that his songs also propagate the gospel of Jesus Christ and convert the ills in the society.
“We need mercy, we need deliverance we need to change by showing mercy to others and what you know that is good we need to do it.”
The gospel artiste also stressed the need for people to coexist peaceful and respect others irrespective of the socio-cultural and religious differences. (NAN)
