Abuja, May 31, 2018 (NAN) Prof. Umar Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communication Commission (NCC) said the commission would partner with the Academy of Engineers to improve quality of service (QoS).
Danbatta made this remark when members of the academy visited NCC headquarters on Thursday in Abuja.
He said NCC would leverage on the experience of the members of the academy and bring this to bear to improve the QoS.
According to him, quality of service is normally measured using four Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
“And we believe that additional indicators can be brought in to improve the QoS.
“When you talk about issues of right of way, multiple taxation, multiple regulations, improvement of quality of service, the academy can lend its voice to ensure that factors that contribute to degrade QoS.
“We can be able to contain them with a view to improve quality of service,‘’ he said.
Danbatta said the Academy of Science had a great tradition of honouring people and following the excellent tradition, which started with Mr Ernest Ndukwe.
Earlier, Prof. Fola Lasis, the Vice President, Nigerian Academy of Engineers (NAE) said they were in NCC to visit the EVC and to congratulate him on how he had been “steering the ship’’ in the commission
Lasis said the Academy of Engineer, the apex body of engineering in the country, came to acknowledge that NCC had always had very brilliant people at the top,
“Prof. Umar Dambata has continued in the same vein from where his predecessor stopped, and we want to congratulate him and tell him we appreciate him.’’ (NAN)
