Minna, May.7, 2018 (NAN) Niger Polic0e Command on Monday, commended members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for holding a peaceful and crisis-free ward congress in the state on Saturday.
The state Commissioner of Police(CP), Mr Dibal Yakadi, made the commendation while speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna.
Yakadi said reports from his surveillance team in the 25 local government areas of the state showed that the congress was peaceful and sued for its sustenance in the forth coming local government congress.
He said that the command would continue to provide level playing field to enable all political parties to have a fair deal in the state.
The CP called on leaders of the parties to preach political tolerance and understanding among their followers .
“We will not tolerate any kind of political violence and thuggery as any person or group of persons found tampering with the peaceful nature of our state will be dealt with accordingly” he warned. (NAN)
