Lagos, May 2, 2018 (NAN) Twenty one-year-old Hassan Rasheed was on Wednesday brought before an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly having in his possession a suspected stolen face-cap.

The accused of no fixed address appeared on a charge of unlawful possession.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The prosecutor, Insp. Maria Dauda, said that the accused committed the offence on March 26 at Ajeniya Street, Obalende, Lagos Island.

She alleged that the accused could not give a satisfactory response to why he had in his possession a face cap suspected to belong to a victim of murder.

According to her, the offence contravenes Section 329 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015, as revised.

The chief magistrate, Mr O.O. Olatunji, granted the accused to a bail of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.

Olatunji adjourned the case until June 6 for mention. (NAN)
