Alleged misconduct: Court grants man bail

Asaba, April 10, 2018 (NAN) An Asaba Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, granted a 45- year- old man, Prince Onuorah, N300,000 bail, after he pleaded not guilty to a charge of alleged misconduct.

Onuorah is standing trial for an alleged offence of shouting at the complainant, Mr Ola Makinde.

The magistrate, Mrs Okonkwo Akanume, ordered the accused to produce two sureties, who must be resident in Asaba.

She held that one of the sureties must be the accused blood relation while both sureties must own landed property and should provide two passport photographs as part of the bail conditions.

Akanume adjourned the case to April 26, for hearing.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr Joseph Nwogu, told the court that the accused committed the offence on March 24 at No 1 Emmanuel Osadebey St., Asaba, Delta.

Nwogu alleged that the accused on the said date, conducted himself in a manner that breached the peace of the complainant, Mr Ola Makinde, by shouting at him.

According to the prosecutor, the offence is punishable under Section 249 of the Criminal Code, Cap C21, Vol 1, Laws of Delta State of Nigeria 2006. (NAN)
