Kaduna, April 3, 2018 (NAN) The Sharia Court ll at Magajin Gari Kaduna, on Tuesday ordered a local grains miller, Bala Usman to return a bag of maize that got missing in his care to the owner.

Usman had dragged one Makeri Gwari, owner of 35 measures of maize that got missing in the complainant’s care, that Gwari has refused to collect back the maize and has placed a curse on him,

The complainant said that the incident occurred in December 2017 and since then Gwari has refused to take back the replacement offered to him.

“He brought a sack of maize to my mill for grinding but unfortunately the grains got missing without my knowledge when Gwari came to get his goods.

“The matter was reported to me and I made provision for 25 measures of maize powder, which Gwari refused to collect saying it was less than what he brought,” Usman said.

Usman accused the complainant of placing a curse on him, saying that his car got burnt a month after Gwari told him that “you will see” after their altercation.

He prayed the court to intervene and compel Gwari to accept his sack of maize and caution him to withdraw his curse.

“His complete sack of grain is intact at my shop, I want the court to assist me so that Gwari can take his goods as I don’t want anymore problems,” he said.

On his part, Gwari accepted that the case be settled out of court, as he was ready to collect his maize.

The Khadi, Malam Musa Sa’ad ordered the complainant to collect the bag of maize from Usman and to live peacefully with others. (NAN)
