Kafanchan (Kaduna) Mar. 30, 2018 (NAN) Mr Labari Tella, a member representing Jema’a constituency in Kaduna House of Assembly, has urged Christians to emulate the lifestyle of Jesus Christ through selfless services to one another.
Tella gave the advice in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Kafanchan on Friday.
In his goodwill message on the Easter celebration, the lawmaker said selfless sacrifices, including providing for the needy and visiting the sick should be entrenched in this period and beyond.
He enjoined the people to obey constituted authorities and show love to members of their respective communities irrespective of religious affiliation because they were cardinal practices of true Christianity.
Tella said that in spite of the hardship facing the country, Christians should endeavour to obey constituted authorities as well as pray for those in leadership positions to succeed.
“Let us not forget the teachings of Christ, especially on the need to show love to one to another as demonstrated by the ultimate sacrifice of his death,” Tella said.
The legislator called for continued prayer for the peace, stability and progress of the State and nation and wished his constituents peaceful Easter celebration. (NAN)
