Daura zonal pilgrims office gets allocation of 381 Hajj seats

Daura (Katsina) March 29, 2018 (NAN) The Zonal Pilgrims Office in Daura, Katsina State, has received allocation of 381 Hajj seats from the state pilgrims welfare board for the 2018 Hajj exercise.
Alhaji Saminu Baure, the Zonal Pilgrims Officer made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Daura on Thursday.
He said the office has since commenced accepting deposits of N300, 000 from the intending pilgrims, adding, “each pilgrim was to deposit a minimum of N1.5million pending the announcement of the final Hajj fair per seat by the National Hajj Commission.’’
He said the office has so far collected deposits from 61 intending pilgrims depending on what an individual pilgrim was able to deposit.
Baure said the allocated seats were distributed according to the five existing local government areas in the zone, stressing, “we are calling on all those who have the intention of performing the Hajj to hasten in bringing their deposits before the official closing date.
“We accept deposits in bank draft not cash.’’
Baure added that the seats were shared to the five local government areas under the zone with 175 seats to Daura, Maiadua 71, Sandamu 35, Zango 43 and Baure 57. (NAN)
