Kokona, (Nasarawa State), March 14, 2018 (NAN) Mr Daniel Oga-Ogazi, (APC, Kokona),Nasarawa State House of Assembly has donated livestock drugs worth about N2 million to Fulani community in Nikoro electoral ward, Kokona Local Government Area of the state.
Oga-Ogazi, who is the Chairman, Committee on Education, Science and Technology in the House, made the donation on Wednesday in Kokona.
The legislator was represented by his Director-General of his campaign organisation, Malam Auwal Adamu, at the occasion.
He said that the drugs distributed to herdsmen would help them sustain the lives of the animals in the area.
Oga-Ogazi said he had provided 12 motorised boreholes, 40 vehicles, 30 motorcycles to the people of his constituency in the last two and half years, to improve their well.
‘’The effort is my desire to improve the standard of living of the people of my constituency.
“ Some of our achievements include, 12 motorised boreholes, we have given out scholarship to some government students and distributed 40 cars.
“We are also embarking on rural electrification and we have also assisted the less privileged in various ways, among others.
“The provision of vehicles and motorcycles will go a long way in improving the lives of the people of our constituency.
“The scholarship given to students and assorted exercise books distributed to pupils in government primary schools will reduce the burden of school fees of children on parents.
“It will also help to improve the standard of education,” he said.
He assured the community and other communities of his constituency of continued support to strengthen the people`s standard of living.
The lawmaker called on the people to be law abiding and respect constituted authorities, in the interest of peace and national development.
Responding, Ardo of Fulani in Nikoro community, Malam Usman Usman, commended the lawmaker for the gesture and assured him of continued support. (NAN)
