National Council on Establishment delegates laud infrastructure projects in Imo Govt.

Owerri (Imo), March 14, 2018(NAN) Delegates at the ongoing National Council on Establishment (NCE) have commended the infrastructural development by the Imo government.
They gave the commendation in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) after a tour of the facilities in the state.
Chairman of the Council, Mr Ndubuisi Osuji, said that the tour was educative and interesting.
He commended the infrastructural developments in the state describing them as remarkable.
“The tour was meant to expose delegates to the good work the Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha is doing.
“From the schools we visited to the road construction and the victory chapel, we saw that there are remarkable infrastructural developments going on in the state.
“Most importantly the security architecture in the state is second to none as Imo is peaceful and a home for all,” Osuji said.
Also, Mr Ode Ochelle, Permanent Secretary, Bureau for Establishment, Benue State said that the he was happy with the development he saw in the state.
He called on other governors to visit the state, take a tour and replicate the development concept in their state.
Ochelle advised other state governments to focus on creating tourist sites to attract foreigners and generate revenue for their states, as it is in Imo presently with the Heroes park.
In his remarks Alhaji Okeme Jibril, Permanent Secretary Establishment and Training, Kogi, described the development in the state as massive.
Jibril said that he had learnt and seen a lot from the tour, saying that the governor has done well pledging to replicate same in Kogi.
The Head of Service Imo state, Mr Ekenze Callistus said that the tour was a usual practice with NCE programmes.
He said that he was proud to take the delegates around the state to see the developmental strides the governor has achieved.
NAN reports that the sites visited include the Ikemba Ojukwu Centre also called Heroes Park where the statues of African heroes were erected for tourism.
Others are the Victory Chapel in the government house, the inland roads, freedom square, Imo City Primary and secondary school, Richard Foundation College of Africa among others.(NAN)
