The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that the exercise recorded low turnout of voters in Auchi area.

Some of the voters attributed the situation of boycott of the polls by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the main opposition and division within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

One of the voters, Mr Patrick Itsabemoh, told NAN that said aside PDP’s boycott of the elections, aggrieved aspirant of APC, who lost in the primaries, refused to mobilize their supporters for the polls.
