Minna, March 2, 2018 (NAN) A housewife, Habiba Aminu, on Friday, asked a Sharia Court in Minna to dissolve her marriage to Hakimi Aminu because of lack of love.
“I do not love and cherish my husband anymore. That is why I want dissolution and I do not have anything else to add,” she said.
However, Aminu pleaded with the court not to grant the petitioner’s request, adding that he was still in love with her and would do everything to make the marriage work.
The judge, Malam Ahmed Bima, advised the couple to give peace a chance and amicably settle their differences, saying marriage required a lot of patience and understanding between the parties.
Bima said he would give the couple some time to resolve their differences and report settlement to court on the next hearing date.
He adjourned the case until March 22 for further mention. (NAN)
