Kano, Feb. 23, 2018 (NAN)  The Kano state Service Compact (SERVICOM) Directorate has directed the state’s parastatal agencies to adopt the sanitation culture.

The Permanent Secretary of the Directorate, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, gave the directive on Friday when the state Task Force Committee on Sanitation visited the Directorate.

He explained that all government agencies should embark on cleaning their office premises as a routine exercise, not because they were being monitored or forced to do so.

The permanent secretary lauded the transparency of the Ministry of Environment as it notified all agencies before monitoring their premises.

“The Ministry sends a notice giving all parastatals enough time to clean up before they come to inspect so there is no reason people shouldn’t spare time to do it.

He described office premises as important as residents, urging workers to imbibe the culture in their daily routine job.

NAN reports that the Ministry of Environment, on Friday conducted the monthly sanitation for workplaces, markets and motor parks. (NAN)
