Lagos, Feb. 15, 2018 (NAN) Quadrant MSL, a strategic communications consultancy firm, has partnered with Social Media Week (SMW), Lagos, to deepen digital conversation with Nigerian social media audience.
The Director, Group Account Management, Quadrant MSL, Mrs Anurika Azubuike, said in a statement that the partnership was borne out of the company’s desire to encourage continuous use of social media and technology.
Azubuike issued the statement on Thursday in Lagos.
According to her, the usage should be for everyday conversations and serve as a strong tool in strategic business communications.
“In demonstration of its commitment to contribute its quota to shaping Nigeria’s digital conversations, Quadrant MSL has partnered with SMW Lagos to further deepen connections, impact and influence with Nigerian audiences.
“Today’s consumers are very discerning and have access to platforms at their fingertips.
“Technology has made this possible by becoming a potent tool that enables collaboration and resourcefulness, bringing people and organisations closer together in simple conversation styles,” she said.
Azubuike said that SMW Lagos had continued to play a huge role in connecting Nigerians to the global space and giving them the opportunity to tell their own stories.
She said that Quadrant MSL’s partnership at this year’s SMW would further advance the use of digital storytelling to push narrative boundaries.
“At Quadrant, we understand that great stories change the world, and there is no better way in this time to tell great stories than using digital platforms to engage with people, cultures and perspectives.
“It is for this reason that we have put our weight behind Social Media Week 2018 to drive that connection and the values it stands for.
“Social Media Week, Lagos, currently in its sixth edition is themed ‘Closer’,’’ she said.
According to the director, the event will hold at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, from Feb. 26 to March 2.
“The event will feature a wide variety of discussions covering the future of media, travel and tourism, entertainment, governance, gender inclusion with a dedicated women in technology platform, as well as emerging ideas and trends across the globe,” she said.
SMW Lagos is an annual conference that provides the insights and inspiration to help people and businesses understand how to achieve more in a hyper-connected world.
The 2017 edition of the digital media and technology event recorded more 15,000 attendees and a global online reach of 454 million. (NAN)
