Burglary

Lagos, Feb. 13, 2018 (NAN) For allegedly breaking into an apartment, stealing groundnut oil and sardines, a 35-year-old man, Olawale Semiu, was on Tuesday brought before an Ebute Meta Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.
Semiu, who broke into the apartment of Prince Kunle Odunsi and stole household property including blenders, groundnut oil and sardines, is facing a three-count charge of stealing and burglary.
The prosecutor, Insp. Cousin Adam, had told the court that the accused committed the offences on Feb. 2 at No. 4/6, Odaliki St., Apapa, Lago State.
Adams said that the accused broke into the apartment of Odunsi and stole blenders, clothes, cooking oils and sardines, but the value was not given.
According to him, the offences contravened Sections 287, 306 and 413 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mrs O.O.A. Fowowe-Erusiafe,
granted the accused N100,000 bail with two sureties.
“One of the sureties must be a blood relation to the accused,” Fowowe-Erusiafe said.
She then adjourned the case until March 15 for mention.(NAN)
