Abuja, Nov. 26, 2017 (NAN) The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted sunny and haze over the Central States of the country on Monday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Sunday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 27 to 36 and 12 to 18 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy to partly cloudy morning with day and night temperatures in the range of 32 to 34 and 19 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
It also predicted prospect of localised thunderstorms over Lagos, Eket, Calabar, Port-Harcourt and their environs during the afternoon and evening hours.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience moderate dust hazy conditions with local visibility range of less than or equal to 2000m throughout the forecast period.
“The region is expected to have day and night temperatures in the range of 33 to 37 degrees Celsius and 11 to 20 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Dust has been raised over the source region in Republic of Chad, therefore, moderate dust haze is anticipated over the northern cities with possibility of sunny and hazy conditions over the central cities.
“Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are likely over most places around the inland cities while isolated thunderstorms are probable in few places in the coast within the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
