Abuja, Nov.7, 2017 (NAN) The lack of legal representation on Tuesday stalled the arraignment of
Hassan Abubakar, 25, charged with armed robbery in an FCT High Court in Gudu, Abuja.

Abubakar of Ruga village, Abuja, was put in the dock when the prosecutor, Augustine Urom, told the court that the case was for arraignment.

The judge, Justice Abubakar Talba, asked the accused person if he had legal representation and he said he did not.

Talba said “you should have been represented by a Counsel from day one.”

Therafter, Talba ordered that the court Registrar should write to the Director, Legal Aid Council for legal representation and adjourned the arraignment until Dec.11.

Earlier, the prosecutor, Augustine Urom, had made oral application that the accused be remanded in prison pending his arraignment. (NAN)
