Jigawa Govt builds 2 PHCs in Kafin Hausa

Dutse, Nov. 3, 2017 (NAN) The Jigawa Government has constructed two Primary Healthcare Centres (PHCs) in Kafin Hausa Local Government Area of the state, an official has said.
Malam Abdullahi Uba, the Manager, Primary Healthcare Development Agency (PHCDA) of the council, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse on Thursday.
Uba spoke through the Information Officer in charge of the area, Alhaji Fahad Muhammad, during a stakeholders meeting on campaign against measles.
The manager said the PHCs were built in Ruba and Turmin Jere villages of the council.
“In its effort to provide accessible health care services to its people, Jigawa government has constructed two primary health care centres in Kafin Hausa LGA.
“The PHCs were built in Ruba and Turmin Jere villages,” he said.
Uba also called on the relevant stakeholders in the area to do their best towards getting people informed on the upcoming measles vaccination.
The spokesman later told NAN that the Immunisation Officer of the council, Malam Abdullahi Sarawa, said that the council has organised ward level campaign against the disease.
According to him, a presentation on the updates of 2015 measles vaccination was made by the representative of World Health Organisation (WHO), Malam Muhammad Sani.
The spokesman added that Sani strongly advised heads of households to educate their wives on the importance of keeping the immunisation cards safe.
Earlier, the council’s Chairman, Alhaji Garba Abdullahi, charged the eight District Heads of the area to make sure they participate in the exercise so as to ensure full participation by their subjects.
Responding on behalf of his colleagues, the District Head of Balangu, Alhaji Ibrahim Suleiman, pledged their commitment in the mobilisation exercise. (NAN)
