Abuja, Oct. 24,2017 (NAN) A business man, Mr Felix Akinseye, on Tuesday asked an FCT High Court, Kubwa, to order the stoppage of ongoing blasting of stones near his residence in Karimo, an Abuja suburb.
Akinseye in a motion filed by his counsel, Mr Shola Oyerinde, is seeking for an injunction to stop the blasting pending final determination of the case.

Joined as defendant are the FCT Minister, Abuja Metropolitan Management Council, Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA), Gante Investment Limited and Bismudruhill Homes and Estates.
In the motion, the plaintiff alleged that the respondents did not carry out proper evaluation impact on the site before they commenced work.
According to Oyerinde, both Gante Investment Limited and Bismudruhill Homes and Estate have continued to work on the site even after they were subpoenaed.
Oyerinde explained that the site in question was an already developed area, with finished structures, including a four bedroom bungalow belonging to the plaintiff.
He said that continuous blasting of stones, which he alleged was ongoing at the moment, would have a negative impact on the already developed structures on ground.
He prayed the court to grant the application in order to avoid the possibility of damages.
The judge, Justice Bello Kawu, ordered that a hearing notice be served on the respondents in the interest of justice and adjourned the matter until Nov. 1 for hearing. (NAN)
