Man in court over alleged theft of cell phone worth N25,000

Modakeke (Osun), Oct 19, 2017 (NAN) A 19-year-old man, Damilola Olasoji, was on Thursday arraigned in a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court, in Osun, charged with alleged stealing of cell phone worth N25,000.
Olasoji is facing a three-count charge bordering on house-breaking, stealing and intent to commit felony, offences he denied committing.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ona Glory, had told the court that the defendant committed the offences on June, 2017, at about 6 a.m. at Egbedore Area, Modakeke-Ife.
Glory alleged that the accused broke into the house of one Timileyin Ogunniyi, stole N25,000 cash, and other valuables, all valued at N63,000.
He said the offences contravened Sections 390 (9) and 411 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The Senior Magistrate, Bose Awosan, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N40,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned the case until Nov 1, for hearing. (NAN)
