Board trains Kannywood actors to enhance professionalism

Kano, Oct. 17, 2017(NAN) Kano State Censorship Board is training Kannywood actors and practitioners to enhance their specialisation in the film industry, the Executive Director of the Board, Alhaji Is’maila Na Abba, has said.
Na Abba said on Tuesday in Kano that the aim was to impart skills relevant to the industry, tackle unemployment and create wealth.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the training will be conducted by the National Film Institute and Media Studies.
The executive director explained that the three weeks workshop would hold from Oct. 17 to Nov. 3, with the participants to be trained in different areas of specialization.
According to him, the areas of training include Film Directing, Film Producing, Production Management, Digital Editing, Acting for the camera, Script writing as well as Camera lights and Sound.
Na Abba enjoined those selected for the training to devote their attention and avoid lateness so as to benefit fully from it.
He expressed appreciation to Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje for sponsoring the programme and other commitments to the board. (NAN)
