Modakeke (Osun), Oct. 13, 2017 (NAN) Three men, on Friday, appeared before a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court in Osun for alleged stealing of some building materials.
The accused persons: Salawu Taiwo, 27; Adejumo Taiwo, 24 and Morufu Azees, 26 are facing a two-count charge of conspiracy and stealing.
The Police Prosecutor, Sgt Ona Glory, told the court that the suspects committed the offence on Aug. 7 at about 7.00 a.m. at Starlink Global & Ideal Limited, Modakeke.
Glory said that the accused conspired to commit a felony to wit stealing.
According to him, the accused stole four aluminium iron sheets, valued N20,000, being the property of Starlink Global & Ideal Limited, Modakeke.
He said the offence contravened Sections 383, 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2003.
The Defence Counsel, Mr Martins Awe, pleaded for the bail of his clients in a most liberal term, assuring the court that they would not jump bail, but produce reliable sureties.
The accused persons pleaded not guilty to the offence.
The magistrate, Mrs Bose Awosan, granted the suspects N50,000 bail with one surety each in the like sum.
Awosan said that each surety must swear to an affidavit of means, reside within the court jurisdiction as well as produce two recent passport photographs.
The case was adjourned to Nov. 13 for hearing. (NAN)
