Alleged suspension of staff by FCDA: Court fixes Nov.1 for judgment

Abuja,Oct.12,2017 (NAN) The National Industrial Court, Abuja, will on Nov.1 deliver judgment in a case of alleged unlawful suspension instituted by one Ambrose Samchi against the Federal Capital Development Authority ( FCDA).
The judge, Justice Edith Agbakoba, fixed the date on Thursday, after counsel to the claimant Mr Efa Ita, adopted his final written address.
Samchi, a worker at the Federal Capital Development Authority is challenging his suspension from work in 2013 by the respondent.
The clamant prayed the court to declare his suspension by the respondent as unlawful
The aggrieved worker is also asking the court to reinstate him as well as prevail on the respondent to pay him all his outstanding salaries and arrears.
Adopting his address, Ita told the court that the respondent suspended his client from work and was on the verge of terminating his appointment.
The claimant’s counsel urged the court to grant the claims of his client, which he said has not been challenged.
The court, thereafter, fixed Nov.1 for judgment.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the respondent, FCDA, was not represented in court by counsel.(NAN)
