Asaba, Oct.11, 2017 (NAN) The Management of Delta Force Football Club of Asaba has called for more collaboration between the club and the private sector, ahead of 2018 Nigeria National League.
The Chairman of the Club, Mr Moses Etu, made the call in a statement he issues on Wednesday in Asaba.
Etu said that the partnership would go a long way in building and boosting the morale of the players who were presently in the third position in the ongoing Nigeria Premier league.
The chairman, who commended the Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, for his support for the club since the league commenced, appealed for more collaboration from the private sector.
Etu said more collaboration from well-meaning people of the state would help to spur the players to better as well as promote grassroots sports.
He also commended the state government for its determination to engage youths in sporting activities in the state.
He noted that the team was able to get to its current position because of the government’s quest to see a team from the state playing in the league, next season.
Etu also commended the players for keeping faith with the club as well as their conduct so far in the 2017 League.
He thanked fans for their support all through the season and urged them not to relent in their support for the team.
Etu assured fans that the team would continue to do better in the ongoing league where it is currently placed third. (NAN)
