Hospital
By Mohammed Lawal
Zaria (Kaduna State), Sept. 3, 2017 (NAN) Dr Shehu Idris, Emir of Zazzau, has appealed to Kaduna State Government to establish more rural hospitals to reduce spread of diseases in the state.
Idris made the plea when district heads, traditional title holders and other subjects, paid him traditional Sallah homage in his palace in Zaria, Kaduna State.
The traditional Sallah homage tagged: “Gaisuwan Sallah’’ is an old traditional homage performed two days after Eid-el-Kabir.
The emir, represented by Iyan Zazzau, Alhaji Bashar Aminu, said the call for more hospitals became necessary because of the spread of diseases, especially malaria fever in the state.
He said the hospitals, when established, would curb the spread of diseases and give the rural dwellers a sense of belonging.
Idris used the medium to warn his subjects against hate speeches, noting that such speeches would only promote hatred, devastate the prevailing peace and even lead to war.
He charged people to engage in skills acquisition to be self-reliant and less dependent on government.
He appreciated his subjects for what he described as a successful, peaceful Sallah celebration and prayed for many years of celebration in peace and unity.(NAN)
